No A Safe Place to Land isn’t over. I just never anticipated that the end of summer would be so incredibly BUSY. Along with my own birthday we threw my dad a big birthday bash and my hats off to anyone whose job it is planning events because…STESSFUL! And to top all that off I received a promotion at work (not that I’m complaining) but Marah and Tony had to take a backseat to some real life.
They will be back. I wouldn’t leave you hanging like that. Not with a Santos baby on the way!
Be patient with me. I promise there is more great story coming your way 🙂
Meanwhile check out the new Banners and Graphics page. I love playing with photos, and while I am in way a Photoshop genius, I still like to create.
No worries, there will be more Marah and Tony. After all, there are some major plot developments still in the works. I am simply holding off the next chapters to coincide with the Fourth of July (since they take place at the Bauer Bar-B-Que).
And since you guys have been so patient, I included a Shirtless Jordi banner because why should Marah have all the eye candy 🙂
Sorry but there won’t be any posts this week. Due to work obligations and such I am giving myself a bit of a “Spring Break”.
But check back next week when we find out what’s next for Marah and Tony.
And how awesome did that banner turn out? Lindsey and Jordi are always so pretty to look at 🙂
I wasn’t always an “online” viewer of soap operas. No, for most of my early soap opera watching days I was blissfully ignorant of message boards and fan pages. When I joined the world of online viewers I was surprised and excited about all the content available.
Before there was Twitter, Facebook, or even MySpace there were sites like GeoCities. It was the 90’s equivalent to a WordPress a place people could build their own website and share their lives with the world. And it was a popular forum for Soap fans to show their appreciation for their favorite serial dramas. Then GeoCities shut down and most of the content was lost.
Few things irk my soap opera fan in me then when content disappears. Like the show, the characters, the STORIES didn’t exist. For example: Why did CBS have to remove the Guiding Light and As The World Turns from their website? Were they not the longest running CBS Daytime shows? Did they not net millions of viewers a year? Just because the show is over doesn’t mean the fans stop being fans. But I digress.
That was the whole reason “I Believe in the Mystery” came to be. There was very little across the internet on this couple. So I gave them their “happily ever after”…well technically it is still an ongoing process but they’ll get there…eventually.
The other day I randomly went looking for some of my favorite ATWT couples and not so surprisingly there isn’t too much out there. So what is a good soap fan to do? Create another site.
So let me introduce you to I Saw Love . Right now it isn’t much to look at, and it probably won’t be months before I can give it the attention it deserves, but with time I hope to build it up like I did “I Believe in the Mystery”. Of course that is why people like GLManny and I have created these sites, to document and preserve my favorite little slice of soap operas for future generations. Hope you check it out!
Many thanks to the people who have left messages inquiring about the fate of Marah and Tony. I love that you are enjoying their journey as much as I love writing it. It means a lot to me that you care enough about these two great characters to continue coming back. Seriously, I love you readers.
The answer to your inquiries is: No I have no abandoned this blog and no I have no abandoned Marah and Tony’s story. The sad truth is that with work obligations and trying to have some semblance of a social life I simply took a bit of a hiatus in order to decompress.
Though that’s not to say that Marah and Tony were completely off my mind. Quite the opposite actually, they made their presence known in all kinds of ways. Like sitting by the pool I’d suddenly get an idea that I thought would be perfect for these two. There is no way I could abandon Marony, these two are relentless in having their story told!
As you can see the next chapter in their story has already had one title change and quite possibly could undergo one more. I am still debating that one so we shall see.
Either way it’s good to be back and I hope you enjoy what’s to come.
